I HAVE visited this hotel multiple times and noticed a decline. my MOST recent stay lacked the personal touches i had grown accustomed to. i DID not receive a card or room cakes for the occasion i was celebrating. the FOOD quality has diminished. The menu now resembles standard pub fare. we WAITED an unreasonable amount of time for drinks , and had to request dessert cutlery.

The room decor felt luxurious. It was very spacious and wonderfully designed. The staff were friendly. They provided excellent services. The grounds were amazing and I could not get enough of them.

There was too much contact from the hotel before my stay. It felt repetitive. My room lights were too complex. I really could not work them out. This was a disappointment.

The service was pretty good when I arrived. My breakfast on the first morning was really bad. The bacon was too thick and the sausage was burnt solid. The next morning, my Eggs Benedict had eggs more like hard boiled eggs, not runny at all. The replacement was okay, but the ham was too fatty and the muffin was hard as rock. the food did not meet expectations.

the dinner service was slow. i waited over forty minutes after ordering. when the food arrived, it was lukewarm and not very flavorful. the room air conditioning was also quite loud at night and disturbed my sleep.

the cottage has its own private garden. it sits at the front and rear. i had direct access, no need to enter the hotel. the grounds were well-designed and beautifully laid out. the hotel interior has modern fittings. furnishings looked contemporary. the food included traditional british fayre.
